Great Planes Super Sportster MKII

This .40 sized plane was built from a balsa kit in June 2001.  This photo shows the fuse and wing finished and the engine and tank mounted.  The nose was built up with balsa blocks and lite ply.  It took a lot of carving and sanding to get the nose finished.

It has an OS .40 SF 2-cycle 1.25 HP engine and a 55" wing span.  The radio is a 9-channel Futaba driving 4 Futaba S148 servos.  The plane is covered in three colors of MonoKote.
